How to edit the Reveal Last Item Alfred Workflow.

In this video, I'll take you through a short tutorial for how to edit and implement the "Reveal Last Item" workflow in Alfred. This was a viewer request, and I figured it'd actually be pretty helpful for everyone. This workflow allows you to quickly go to and open the last items added to your desktop.

As always, let me know what you think in the comments below and feel free to submit more tutorial requests!

This tutorial uses a workflow available at ryanmo.co.

hey what's up i'm going to give you a quick tour of the reveal last items in downloads folder slash desktop folder alfred workflow that i found and edit it a bit this is a request and also might just help anyone else wondering how it works so i found it from this site ryanmo.co he's a developer and has lots of cool shortcuts so you can see here how he did it i'm definitely don't know what all this means but i went ahead and edit it a little bit to add the functionality to go to the last item on your desktop and also to open the items so you can download this plugin here or you can go to this link here inside of the description box which will point you to my links section you can find the customized version that i created it's also available on my github once you download that and double click it you have to have the alfred power pack to have the workflow capability let's start with control option l which is the original functionality from the alfred workflow i downloaded from ryanmo.co so you can click here and you can see that there's some code and basically it'll reveal the last item in the downloads folder i went ahead and copy and pasted this workflow and assigned a new keyboard shortcut and then i took away the dash r so it won't just reveal the item it'll actually open it next i copied both of these and pasted it here changed the keyboard shortcut to be d for desktop and then inside of the code i just changed the home so instead of downloads i put desktop i kept the dash r because it'll reveal for this particular script and then for the next one that'll open the last item on the desktop i just took away the r so if you want to change it to another folder that you use often or putting things inside just go ahead and change the path here and add or subtract the dot bar and then if you want it to open directly take away the dash r and if you wanted to just reveal where the file is keep the dash r if you have any questions you can email me at hello at the productivity shop.co or join the productivity shop slack channel thanks for watching
